London – Curvaceous model Lacey Banghard might have been voted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house on Wednesday, but she already has a new gig – promoting the sterilisation of cats and dogs for PETA. Accompanied by two activists dressed as giant condoms, the 20-year-old Bedford-born beauty was decked out in a sexy little dress at Piccadilly Circus on Tuesday with signs that read, “Dogs and Cats Can’t Wear Condoms: Spay and Neuter”. Why is Banghard bouncing with enthusiasm for sterilisation? Because the only way to get a handle on the UK’s cat and dog homelessness crisis is always to have your companion animals fixed.

“If cats and dogs could rubber-up, tens of thousands of animals would be spared suffering and death every year”, says Banghard. “But they can’t, so it’s up to us to fix the problem by fixing our animals.”

Each year, thousands of cats and dogs in animal shelters must be killed because there aren’t enough good homes for them. Other animals are abandoned on the streets, where they starve to death, get injured or killed by vehicles or fall prey to abuse. Spaying and neutering is the answer.
