London – Attention holiday shoppers: cross anything with fur off your shopping list! So says screen siren Eva Mendes in a sexy new ad for PETA in which the starlet bares all next to the tagline “Fur? I’d Rather Go Naked”.
“There are way too many amazing faux-fur options out there for people to still be wearing real fur”, says Mendes, who credits her beloved dog for showing her that animals deserve respect. “I want people to know that – killing a poor animal and wearing [her fur] isn’t cool. Respecting all life forms is cool.”
Mendes stars in this fall’s We Own the Night with Joaquin Phoenix and has previously shared the screen with Denzel Washington in Training Day, Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider and Will Smith in Hitch.
She joins a long list of celebrities who have starred in PETA’s iconic naked campaign, including Alicia Silverstone, Christina Applegate, Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, and Christy Turlington.
