PETA’s annual competition seeks the vegans who dazzle the most – with their fabulous good looks and compassionate hearts – and who use the attention they receive to speak out most compellingly for animals. Do you have what it takes?
Information on entering the contest is provided below. In addition to the covetable title, each winner – one man and one woman – will receive the journey of a lifetime with Vegan Travel: a trip for two in a two-person cabin on the five-night Christmas Markets on the Rhine and Moselle cruise in December 2018.*

Past Hottest Vegan winners have used their titles to prove to the world that vegans have big hearts – and healthier ones, too. They act as vegan advocates in newspaper and radio interviews and help show that, on average, vegans are fitter and trimmer than meat-eaters, have a lower risk of developing heart disease, and are less prone to suffering from cancer, diabetes, and obesity – and they’re avoiding cruelty to animals at the same time.

PETA’s UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan Competition 2018 will be broken down into two rounds: the entry round and the voting round. You can enter the contest during the entry round only.
The entry round opens on 27 June 2018. All entries must be submitted by 5 pm UK time on 23 July 2018. PETA will choose 12 finalists (six male and six female) from qualified entrants based on consideration of the following factors: the enthusiasm they demonstrate in promoting a vegan lifestyle, PETA’s assessment of their attractiveness, and PETA’s assessment of how interesting their story will be to media and the public.
The finalists will be notified and featured on PETA.org.uk by 30 July 2018. Public voting to help PETA decide which finalists it should choose as the winners will begin by 30 July 2018 and end at 5 pm UK time on 6 August 2018. PETA will choose two winners (one male and one female) based on consideration of the following factors: the enthusiasm they demonstrate in promoting a vegan lifestyle, PETA’s assessment of their attractiveness, PETA’s assessment of how interesting their story will be to media and the public, and the number of votes they receive in the public voting round.
The winners will be notified and featured on PETA.org.uk by 13 August 2018.
*Each winner will receive a five-night trip for two in a two-person cabin aboard Vegan Travel’s Christmas Markets on the Rhine and Moselle cruise from 7 to 12 December 2018. The cruise boasts a wealth of nutritious delights and tempting treats that are all completely free of animal products so the winner can enjoy a vegan fine dining experience three times a day. The prize is limited solely to accommodation, that is, a five-night stay in a two-person cabin aboard the cruise ship; any and all expenses arising from the stay are excluded (including, but not limited to, travel to and from the cruise departure and arrival location in Basel, Switzerland; incidentals; gratuities; deposits; meals; amenity fees and other incurred charges at the accommodation; airport transfer and all other ground transportation; travel insurance; souvenirs; and sales and other taxes, surcharges, and fees). Prize is not transferable.
Open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland only. All entrants must be at least 18 years old.
Entrants must be vegan, and photos submitted by entrants must be tasteful. High-resolution photos are required. Images must be sharp (not blurry or fuzzy, and no Snapchat filters are allowed) and well lit, and only the entrant should appear in each photo submitted. Please remember that the members of the public voting to help PETA decide whom it should choose as will be basing their decisions primarily on the photos, so be sure to make yours count.
