Are You a Student? Become a PETA Campus Rep and Speak Up for Animals
The PETA UK Campus Rep Programme is designed to help student activists hold fun and effective animal rights outreach events and campaigns on campus. Campus Reps will receive lots of free materials to put on eye-catching, exciting events that get other students interested in animal rights issues. Reps will also receive payment for their work during the semester and a certificate of completion to enhance their CV.
Here are some of the things that you can look forward to if you become one of our UK Campus Reps:
- Holding events like vegan food giveaways, organising on-campus demonstrations, and receiving pre-made event packages from PETA
- Launching an on-campus campaign, such as calling for better vegan options in the dining hall
- Getting free materials about various animal rights issues
- Receiving tips and advice on enhancing your activism skills
- Becoming part of a network of activists who share your passion for animal rights
- Receiving a certificate of completion which can be used to show prospective employers the skills you acquired as a campaigner
As part of the programme, you’ll be required to do the following:
- Hold a minimum of six vegan outreach events during term time to raise awareness of cruelty to animals
- Stay in contact with your PETA programme adviser
- Document the work you do so that you can share it with your adviser
- Maintain a level of professionalism, communication, and commitment within the programme
