Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA Has an Anti-Speciesism Message for UK Travellers

Thousands of UK travellers are set to receive a social justice message from Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, who stars in a PETA campaign now playing on televisions at Heathrow, Gatwick, and Manchester airports. The ad is also running at 72 major airports in the US and Canada.

Have you seen it yet?

What Is Speciesism and Why Has Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA Spoken Out?

In the ad, RZA challenges speciesism – the belief that, despite their extraordinary talents and abilities, all other animal species are inferior to humans. As American author Alice Walker wrote, “The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for whites, or women for men.”

“It doesn’t matter if we have fur or feathers or fins …. We all have thoughts and feelings. … Our task must be to break free from prejudice and to see ourselves in everyone else.”
– RZA

Speciesism is used to justify caging highly social primates alone in steel laboratory cages; killing billions of cows, chickens, pigs, and others for food; mutilating sheep for their wool; and whipping tigers into performing tricks.

You Can Oppose Speciesism!

We can combat this systematic oppression. It’s simple: buy cosmetics that weren’t tested on animals, choose vegan food and fashion, and stay away from animal circuses. Always reject the exploitation of animals.

Take a stand against speciesism now and sign our pledge:
