An eyewitness investigation by Italian animal protection group Essere Animali reveals pigs languishing in deplorable conditions on 11 intensive farms.

Powys County Council has refused plans for a pig farm that, if approved, would have kept 2,000 pigs a year in miserable conditions before sending them to slaughter.

PETA is celebrating Doncaster Council’s decision to reject a planning application that, if approved, would have seen almost 3,000 pigs a year sent to slaughter.
