After 53 years in a cramped tank, long-suffering orca Lolita has died at Miami Seaquarium.

On World Orca Day, a wave of PETA protesters gathered outside the London office of the UK’s leading travel association to urge it to stop backing orca captivity.

PETA reminds ABTA that the abuse of orcas and other dolphins is not what holidaymakers consider “sustainable travel”.

PETA supporters crashed ABTA’s ‘crisis’ travel conference, urging attendees to see that orca abuse is a crisis and that the travel association must enact a policy against promoting marine parks.
