Model and singer Jane Birkin, the inspiration behind Hermès’ Birkin bag, has publically asked that the “luxury” bag be renamed after seeing PETA’s exposé into crocodile and alligator farming.

Captive alligators and crocodiles endure miserable lives and experience gruesome deaths so that their skins can be turned into Birkin bags.
