Rosanna Davison Is a ‘Lady in Green’ (Lettuce) in Run Up to St Paddy’s Day

Wearing a short green dress made entirely of lettuce leaves, stunning model Rosanna Davison posed today in front of the Spire of Dublin in order to encourage people to “turn over a new leaf” and go vegetarian.

“A vegetarian diet is a great way to stay fit and healthy”, says the former Miss World. “As well as causing incredible suffering to animals, the meat industry damages our forests, our water supply and the global climate – so the best way to ‘go green’ this St Patrick’s Day is to go vegetarian.”

Banishing meat from our plates benefits both the planet and our bodies. Vegetarians and vegans are, on average, significantly trimmer than meat-eaters, and they are less likely to suffer from heart disease, cancer, strokes and diabetes. A recent United Nations report concluded that a global shift towards a diet free of animal-derived products is vital in order to combat against world hunger and the worst effects of climate change.

In addition, billions of animals raised for food each year endure miserable lives on crowded, filthy factory farms, where they are subjected to painful mutilations, suffer from crippling injuries and face terrifying deaths.

Help animals and the planet and avoid getting pinched by adopting a green diet before St Patrick’s Day. For helpful tips and recipes, order a free copy of our all-new vegetarian/vegan starter kit.
