Kelly Brook Asks, ‘Whose Skin Are You In?’
Painted as a snake, actor and model Kelly Brook stars in a sexy PETA ad to call attention to the suffering of reptiles when they’re turned into shoes, handbags, belts and other accessories.
Kelly starred in the horror-comedy hit Piranha 3-D, and although she was eaten alive by the feisty fish, it didn’t dampen her resolve to speak up for wildlife. Kelly asks, “Whose Skin Are You In?” to encourage others to think about where their wardrobe comes from and to discourage people from wearing someone else’s skin.
Snakes killed for their skin are often nailed to trees and skinned alive before being tossed into a pile to die. The snakes can suffer for days before succumbing to shock or dehydration. With tons of fashionable and cruelty-free alternatives like fake snake and mock croc available, there is no reason for animals to suffer for one’s wardrobe.
