PETA has issued a statement with several other animal protection groups announcing they won’t participate in Defra’s shamefully biased consultation on the use of wild animals in circuses.

UPDATE: China Southern Airlines has now shamefully resumed shipping primates to laboratories.

Public and parliamentary supporting the ban, Defra has announced it will press ahead with its circus inspection and licensing scheme and also have another public consultation on the issue.

Two more air carriers, TAM and Hainan Airlines, have announced that they will no longer transport primates for use in cruel laboratory experiments!
