From 1 January 2020, experiments on dogs, cats, and primates could be banned in the Brussels-Capital Region.

With summer in full swing, Manchester United defender Chris Smalling and his beloved dogs, Ruben and Miley, joined PETA to talk about the danger of leaving dogs in parked cars in hot weather.

Some dog lovers were surprised to learn about PETA’s stance, so we wanted to take this opportunity to explain our position.

“This is not about winning a popularity contest …”

We applaud and support the activists who stormed the event and encourage everyone who wants to prevent animal suffering to take a stand, too.

Brandishing posters reading, “Crufts: Canine Eugenics”, the protesters highlighted the suffering of dogs bred by humans to have grossly exaggerated features.
