Shocking Video Exposes Factory Pumping Out Beagle Puppies for Experiments
PETA US has obtained video footage showing beagles held in faeces- and debris-covered cages inside MBR Acres – a factory farm that breeds and sells dogs to laboratories for use in experiments.
The footage was captured by Camp Beagle and provides a rare glimpse into the ramshackle living conditions of the countless dogs warehoused at the facility.
Beagles, who are normally docile, are seen pacing back and forth and jumping around, stressed from spending all day every day in a metal enclosure. Their collective cries ricochet through the cellblock as they plead to be released and call out for any shred of solace.
After living amid filth for their entire young lives, the dogs are loaded into a truck as if they were luggage and hauled off to laboratories – where they’re abused in gruesome experiments and then killed.
Business as Usual
MBR Acres is owned by American company Marshall BioResources. Despite raking in millions each year, Marshall has a long, faeces-stained history of storing sensitive animals in shabby conditions and pocketing the profit.
Whistleblower photographs recently shared with PETA US from inside Marshall’s New York facility show ferrets locked inside dingy wire cages caked in faeces, while beagles and their puppies sit in barren cages with metal mesh floors above soiled concrete.
The whistleblower also alleged that cages were only cleaned every two weeks, feeders were mouldy, and puppies were commonly found dead in their enclosures with large quantities of blood. The whistleblower said that staff also handled dogs roughly, injuring their jaws, and confined incompatible dogs to a single cage, causing stress-induced fights.
What You Can Do: Help End Experiments on Beagles and Other Animals
PETA entities have gotten animal testing laboratories shut down, worked to get taxpayer grants cut off, and helped get experimenters prosecuted in the US. Now, it’s time for the government in the UK to take action.
Please sign our petition urging the government to end to all experiments on animals, which would close breeding prisons such as these:
