PETA ‘Butcher’ Serves Up ‘British Free-Range Babies’ Ahead of Christmas
How would you feel about the prospect of eating a baby? Well, that’s exactly what you’ll be doing on Christmas Day if you eat turkey flesh. Today, a PETA “butcher” highlighted this fact by competing with Norfolk butchers at Norwich Market and dismembering lifelike human “babies” on a festively decorated chopping block.

The “butcher” was serving “Organic Norfolk Human” at £2.11 per 100 grams and “British Free-Range Baby” for £60. Are you repulsed by this idea? Then spare a thought for intelligent, sensitive turkeys – who have the same capacity to suffer as human babies would on filthy farms – killed at less than 6 months old for Christmas roasts.

Norfolk is the centre of the UK turkey-farming industry, with the largest producer, Bernard Matthews, based in the county. Millions of birds are raised indoors in giant, barren sheds each year in Norfolk alone.
Don’t Eat Babies This Christmas
All animals are someone’s baby, regardless of species. And each year, millions of turkeys suffer and die for the UK’s Christmas dinners. In nature, turkeys are protective parents and spirited explorers who can live for up to 10 years, but those killed for food are normally slaughtered between 12 and 26 weeks of age.
The young birds are often hung from metal shackles by their feet and dragged through an electrified bath that can cause full-body tremors. Some are still conscious when their throats are slit and they’re placed into scalding-hot water to remove their feathers.
Have a Vegan Christmas
From vegan turkey crowns to nut roasts, there are plenty of traditional Christmas offerings that are as kind to animals as they are delicious. This year, why not kill tradition – not turkeys – by switching to a vegan Christmas? It’s never been easier:
