With her skin covered with nothing except markings indicating “loin”, “round”, and “rump”, Love Island star, model, and vegan chef India Reynolds appears in a new PETA campaign.

The campaign image gives people food for thought, urging everyone to see the similarities between humans and all other animal species – including cows and pigs, who are killed for their flesh.

The model also sat down for an exclusive video interview with PETA, in which she discusses her journey towards vegan living.

In the video, Reynolds asks:

“If you wouldn’t eat your dog, why would you eat a cow or a pig? It’s up to us to recognise that in all the ways that really matter, all animals are actually the same.”

Reynolds joins a long list of celebrities – including Lucy Watson, Pamela Anderson, Chris Smalling, Sir Paul McCartney, and Alicia Silverstone – who’ve teamed up with PETA to speak out against the exploitation and killing of animals for food.

Why Vegan?

In today’s meat, egg, dairy, and fishing industries, piglets’ tails may be cut off without painkillers, chickens’ throats are often cut while they’re still conscious, cows are forcibly separated from their beloved calves, and fish are cut open while they’re still alive.

All animals – including pigs, chickens, and cows – feel pain and fear, have unique personalities, and value their lives, just as we do. Animal agriculture is also destroying our planet,  while filthy farms, bloody abattoirs, and meat markets are breeding grounds for pathogens that cause deadly diseases, like coronavirus, swine flu, and SARS.

The best way to help all animals and protect our planet is to adopt a compassionate, vegan lifestyle.
