CORNWALL’S BLEUJENNOW WINS SPOT ON PETA’S LIST OF BEST

Eco- and Animal-Friendly Bed and Breakfast Recognised as Top Spot for Weekend Jaunt

Penzance, Cornwall – Ahead of the bank holiday weekendPETA has shared its list of the best accommodation for “Vegan-Friendly Weekend Breaks in the UK” – and Penzance’s renewable energy–powered bed and breakfast Bleujennow has nabbed a spot. The B&B is known for its full English breakfast spread – complete with tofu scramble, vegan rashers, meat-free sausages, and more – as well as its homemade bread, smoothies, and freshly pressed juices.

“Bleujennow is the perfect place to escape reality while still being kind to animals and the environment,” says PETA Director of Vegan Corporate Projects Dawn Carr. “All the hotels on PETA’s list are revolutionising the hospitality industry by offering vegan meals that can be enjoyed by everyone.”

PETA’s motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”, and the group opposes speciesism, the human-supremacist view that other species are nothing more than commodities. In addition to sparing the lives of nearly 200 animals every year, going vegan also reduces a person’s risk of suffering from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and numerous other health concerns. These are just some of the reasons why millions of Brits have chosen to ditch animal-derived foods.

Other hotels that made the cut include Ambleside Manor in the Lake District National Park, Bay Tree House in East Sussex, and Loaf B&B in Northumberland. The complete list is available here.

PETA offers a free vegan starter kit, which can be ordered here. For more information, please visit PETA.org.uk.
