Kevin McHale of ‘Glee’ Roots for the Underdog
Kevin McHale, who plays Artie Abrams on the Channel 4 hit series Glee, understands what it’s like to be the underdog. So it isn’t hard to understand why he’s rooting for all underdogs in his new PETA ad, featuring his adopted pooch, Sophie:
Every year, hundreds of thousands of cats and dogs end up in shelters across the UK, and many are euthanised because there aren’t enough good homes for them. Countless others who never make it to a safe haven get injured or killed by vehicles, fall victim to cruel people or succumb to starvation, disease or weather extremes.
Kevin’s friends and fellow Glee cast members encouraged him to adopt Sophie from a shelter because they know that every animal purchased from a pet shop or a breeder means a death sentence for an animal in a shelter. Join Kevin and Sophie in being part of the campaign to end animal homelessness by making sure that your animal companions are spayed or neutered and only adopting – never buying – animals.
Kevin joins a growing list of compassionate celebrities, including Justin Bieber, Jay Sean, Lauren Goodger and Ke$ha, in speaking up for animals.
