PETA Supporters Stage Dramatic Die-In Outside Canada Goose
Ahead of World Wildlife Day, PETA supporters lay nearly naked and “bloody” on a pile of “Canada Goose coats” in a dramatic die-in demonstrating the cruel methods used to trap and kill coyotes for the fur trim on the retailer’s outerwear.
The protest – which was held outside the brand’s European flagship store on London’s Regent Street – attracted lots of attention, stopping shoppers in their tracks and making them think about the animals killed for Canada Goose jackets.
In using fur stolen from coyotes on its winter wear, Canada Goose shows total disregard for the animals who are killed in barbaric ways for their skin – all in the name of fashion.

How Are Canada Goose Jackets Made?
Coyotes are caught in their natural habitat using steel leg clamps, head-crushing traps, body-gripping traps, or neck snares. They commonly endure horrific injuries and languish for days before eventually dying of dehydration, starvation, or blood loss. Some are so desperate to escape that they attempt to chew through their own limbs.

Canada Goose jackets are products of cruelty, and it’s not just coyotes who are killed. The company also uses down from geese whose throats are cut and whose bodies are dumped into scalding-hot water.
This horrendous abuse is an example of speciesism, the belief that simply because they’re members of a different species, the lives and experiences of non-human animals don’t matter.
