Victoria Eisermann Says “Evict Meat” in Veg-Covered Big Brother Chair
Sitting in a Big Brother diary room chair covered only by strategically placed vegetables and holding a sign that reads, “Evict Meat: Vote Vegan”, glamour model Victoria Eisermann – who was the first to be voted out of the Big Brother house – is encouraging compassionate people to keep meat, eggs and dairy products off their plates.
In today’s industrialised meat and dairy industries, chickens and turkeys have their throats cut while they’re still conscious, piglets have their tails and testicles cut off without being given any painkillers, fish are suffocated or cut open while they’re still alive on the decks of fishing boats, and calves are taken away from their mothers within hours of birth.
“Watching people trying to cope with living in the Big Brother house is great entertainment”, says Eisermann. “But if we could see into factory farms and abattoirs in the same way, I guarantee we’d all be choosing to evict animal products from our diets.”
Eisermann follows in the footsteps of Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton, who unveiled PETA’s vegetarian/vegan starter kit in a dress made entirely out of lettuce, and PETA’s 2010 Person of the Year Pamela Anderson (who made a surprise appearance in the Big Brother house last year), who has starred in several of PETA’s vegetarian ad campaigns.
