Day of Action! Activists Across the UK Urge TUI to Cut All Ties With SeaWorld
From Brighton to Edinburgh, local activists protested outside TUI stores throughout the UK today. Their message was clear: the travel provider must stop selling tickets to SeaWorld.
London, New Malden
The demonstrations took place in multiple locations, and since the launch of the campaign last month, over 27,000 people have written to TUI to urge it to stop promoting SeaWorld’s orca prisons, where intelligent marine mammals have no choice but to swim in endless circles around tiny concrete tanks.
Thank you to all the activists who took part in the day of action.

Your picture of a whale swimming freely in #TUITalksMexico is in contrast to the whales trapped @Seaworld 🙁 in Florida that you still sell tickets to see. When will you stop using your holidays to bankroll animal cruelty? https://t.co/Lfqrnb4qsz #TUISeaWorldCruelty https://t.co/R2DHiFrzwv

Earlier this year, following intense pressure from PETA, travel giant Thomas Cook announced that it would stop selling tickets to all parks that confine orcas in the name of entertainment.
What You Can Do
Please contact TUI and let the company know how disappointed you are that it continues to sell tickets to SeaWorld.
