ADIDAS BY STELLA MCCARTNEY, THE BODY SHOP, AND DELICIOUSLY ELLA AMONG WINNERS OF PETA VEGAN FITNESS AWARDS 2018
Group Celebrates the Compassionate Products, Athletes, and Influencers at the Top of Their Game
London – Athletes and fitness enthusiasts in all fields are choosing to eat vegan, reporting that the benefits include more energy, better digestion, and faster recovery. But when it comes to a vegan workout, it’s about not only the foods that fuel us but also the clothes we wear and the beauty products we use. The first-ever PETA Vegan Fitness Awards celebrate the products, athletes, and influencers at the top of the cruelty-free game.
Adidas by Stella McCartney wins Best Vegan Sports Bag for its versatile Gym Bag Multi, ASOS 4505’s fashion-forward Trainer in Grey With Yellow Strap Detail takes Best Vegan Trainers, Sweaty Betty’s PrimaLoft-insulated Exploration Softshell Jacket nabs Best Vegan Outerwear, and Sundried’s premium-blend Ruinette 2.0 Women’s Leggings win Best Vegan Leggings. Deliciously Ella’s nutritious, all-natural Cacao & Almond Energy Ball takes home the prize for Best Vegan Energy Food, while The Body Shop wins Best Vegan and Cruelty-Free Cleansing Wipes for its purifying Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wipes, and the award for Best Vegan and Cruelty-Free Sports Bag Essentials goes to Le Labo for its warming, Japanese-inspired Hinoki Shampoo, Conditioner, and Shower Gel.
“Today’s exercise enthusiasts want cutting-edge products that help them get active without harming animals or the environment,” says PETA Director Elisa Allen. “All the winners of PETA’s first-ever Vegan Fitness Awards prove that the fitness world is embracing clean vegan materials and ingredients like never before.”
Other winners include three-time world-record holder Fiona Oakes, who receives the Vegan Athlete Award for being an inspirational runner and animal advocate; ECONYL, which nabs the Innovation Award for using regenerated yarn from waste materials such as fishing nets and old carpets; and NaturallyStefanie‘s Stefanie Moir, who wins the Vegan Influencer Award for using her platform to set a healthy example and spread a compassionate message.
