Can Going Vegan Boost Your Tinder Matches?
Who gets more “right swipes”: vegans or meat-eaters?
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, PETA took to Tinder and created two profiles featuring photos of the same volunteer – except that one account clearly belonged to a vegan and the other to a meat-eater.

On the dating app, users swipe right to indicate that they like a person’s profile or left to move on. When two users both swipe right on each other, that’s a match. And the results: for the same number of swipes, our vegan volunteer got almost twice as many matches as his “meat-eater” alter-ego!
The results come as no surprise. After all, compassion is one of the most attractive qualities a person can have.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to go vegan and help animals, the environment, and maybe your love life, too. In addition to sparing countless animals daily suffering and a terrifying death in today’s industrialised meat, egg, and dairy industries, vegans are less likely to suffer from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer, and obesity than meat-eaters are. Plant-based meals are greener, too, because the meat industry is a major producer of the greenhouse-gas emissions that contribute to climate change. So go on: “swipe right” on compassion
