PETA Anti-Fur Activists Storm 3Rd Paris Catwalk In 24 Hours

Paris – An American and a French PETA member disrupted the Michael Kors show this evening when they jumped onto the runway with a banners reading, ‘Fur Shame,’ and chanted ‘Fur is dead!’

Earlier in the day, two other activists, one British and one French, were thrown out of Lagerfeld’s show after causing a runway ruckus with their anti-fur message. Yesterday, the same British activist was stirring things up at the Dior show when she took over the runway to protest the violence and cruelty of the fur trade.

‘Heartless greedy designers may not care about electrocuting animals and ripping off their fur for fashion, but decent compassionate people do,’ said American PETA member Kayla Worden after disrupting the third show. ‘Millions of animals suffer on fur farms and in steel traps in the wild.  The cruelty of the pelt pushers must end.’

PETA is stepping up its campaign to expose the suffering behind the fur industry’s renewed push of fur fashions, knowing that educated consumers wouldn’t be caught dead in the stuff. Although it is the 21st century, animals are still mangled in 18th century traps, drowned, or beaten to death in the wild and gassed, strangled, or anally electrocuted on crowded, filthy fur farms.
