PETA Offers Gbp 1000 To Help Nab Cruel Individuals Who Left Ailing Foal To Die

Chertsey, Surrey – PETA is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who dragged a seriously ill foal behind a car and left him to die in a field in Thameside, Chertsey. The emaciated animal had been suffering from diarrhoea, dehydration and worms when he was reportedly dragged behind a vehicle and dumped in a remote field, where his cruel captors covered his near-lifeless body with a tarpaulin, rocks and logs. The RSPCA discovered the young horse “barely alive” and attempted to rehabilitate him but were unsuccessful.

This latest incident follows several reports in recent months of animals abandoned or wilfully killed.

“It is imperative that, faced with a case of such horrific animal neglect and abuse, the community take measures to find the culprit or culprits and prevent such a thing from recurring”, says PETA spokesperson Suzanne Barnard. “Animal neglect is a crime, and it can not go unpunished.”
