As Travellers Return From Far-Flung Summer Travels, PETA Increases Reward to Bring Lout to Justice
London – The person shown kicking a squirrel into the Grand Canyon in this YouTube video that went viral remains unidentified, so PETA UK and its French and US affiliates are stepping up their efforts to find the culprit and are targeting visitors returning from overseas who may have missed the story or are just now hearing about someone’s trip to the US. The groups are now adding a trip to the Grand Canyon – including airfare and lodging for two – to the reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator, who is believed to be from a French-speaking country.
Would you please share this new information with your audience? It may be the only way to apprehend the person responsible for this cruel act.
“Studies show that people who commit violent acts against animals don’t stop at just one victim”, says PETA UK Director Mimi Bekhechi. “Someone out there may know who sadistically sent this trusting squirrel plunging to his or her death, and PETA is calling on that individual to come forward now – before anyone else gets hurt.”
Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact Grand Canyon Chief Ranger Bill Wright at +1-928-638-7888.
