Remember PETA in Your Will
A will is a convenient – and often simple and straightforward – way to distribute assets among those you love. It is also a powerful way to help animals: by naming PETA as a beneficiary, you can ensure that we will continue to make a difference for countless animals after you are gone.
PETA’s Free Will-Writing Services
We’ve partnered with Bequeathed and the National Free Wills Network to offer a free will to our supporters either online or through a local solicitor. You don’t have to leave a gift to PETA in your will to use these services, but we hope you will consider the impact your gift could have for animals and help us give them a future in this very special way.
Write Your Will for Free Online
PETA’s online free will-writing service, provided by Bequeathed, is easy to use. It involves only four simple steps, outlined below:
- Complete the online will questionnaire. Support and guidance are available throughout the process.
- Receive automated legal advice to determine the best option for you, including guidance as to whether an appointment with a Bequeathed advisor will be required.
- Book a legal appointment to discuss any of the recommendations in more detail. Or, if a free basic will is suitable for you, choose the convenience of receiving this option without attending an appointment.
- Receive your will with a Letter of Advice (a summary of the advice you’ve been given), along with instructions for signing and witnessing your will correctly.
Write Your Will for Free Through a Solicitor
Through PETA’s partnership with the National Free Wills Network, you can write a simple will for free through an in-person appointment with a solicitor local to you. With hundreds of participating solicitors, you’ll only need to travel an average of 3 miles for your appointment. You’ll receive a pack in the post with information and a list of local solicitors to choose from.

Why should I get a will?
A will is one way you can ensure that your assets will be distributed according to your wishes. Failure to plan and express your wishes properly in a will or other estate document may cause you to lose control of how your estate is to be distributed once you pass away. In addition, without a will, your estate assets will be distributed in accordance with the law, regardless of your intentions. Through a properly tailored will, you have the opportunity to ensure that your compassion continues to make a difference for animals long after you are gone. And because PETA is a charity, your legacy will not be subject to inheritance tax, which means that 100% of your gift will go directly to helping animals.
PETA would be honoured to carry forward your legacy of compassion. If you would like to make a gift to animals through your will or would like further information, please fill out this brief request form You can also e-mail us or call us on +44 (0) 20 7837 6327.
